Dr. Sameer Ahmed received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Vision from Institute Pascal, University Blaise Pascal, France. The title of his PhD thesis was “Application of a Dataflow Programming Language to the High Level Synthesis of Real Time Vision Systems on Reconfigurable Hardware”. Earlier he did his BS and MS, both in Computer Science from COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Islamabad in 2004 and 2007 respectively. Currently, he is working as an Assistant Professor at Namal College, Mianwali.
His research interests include Parallel Computing for Systems Biology, Grid Computing Infrastructures, Programming Languages, Stream Processing Applications, Dataflow Programming Models, Programming Languages for Reconfigurable Computing.

Research Interests
Dr. Fayyaz Ahmad received his Ph.D. in Mathematical sciences from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2010. He then worked for two and half years at the Department of Electrical Engineering at KAIST as a Research Scientist before moving on to take the position of an Assistant Professor at the Department of Statistics, Quaid e Azam University.
His research interests include modeling & analysis of time series fMRI data and its multivariate statistical analysis for mapping effective connectivity between various regions of brain.

Research Interests
My lab focus is to elucidate the mechanism of plant-pathogen (Cucumber mosaic virus and Pseudomonas syringae) interaction by exploiting RNA silencing machinery. We are also aimed at probing the novel RNAi proteins, involved in this pathway.
